Voice consent policy
This is a mandatory precondition for uploading, cloning or commercialising any voice on SaydiVoice. It explains when consent is required, what a valid consent record must contain and how we handle a voice that is being used without permission.
1. Mandatory commitment before uploading or cloning
When you upload an audio file or create a cloned voice on SaydiVoice, you represent and warrant that:
- You hold full lawful rights over the audio file, the voice, the spoken content and every related right.
- If the voice belongs to someone else, you have their clear consent before uploading or using it — not afterwards.
- You will not use a cloned voice to impersonate, defraud, spread false information or infringe anyone's rights.
- You can produce evidence of that consent when Saydi AI or a competent authority asks.
If you cannot meet these conditions, do not upload and do not clone that voice. This is a precondition, not a recommendation.

Read the cited provisions
Article 17. Collection and use of personal information — Network Information Security Law 86/2015/QH13
Collect personal information only after obtaining the consent of the data subject as to the scope and purpose of collecting and using that information.

2. When is consent required?
The rule is simple: a voice is data tied to a specific person, so every case other than your own voice requires consent.
2.1. Your own voice
You may clone your own voice without anyone's permission. You remain responsible for how that voice is used, including when you license it to someone else.
2.2. Someone else's voice
You need the clear, provable consent of the voice's subject — or of a parent or legal guardian where the subject is a minor or lacks legal capacity. Consent must exist before you upload the sample.

2.3. Employees, contractors and customers
When you build a voice for an organisation — call centre agents, presenters, influencers, staff — that person's consent cannot be inferred from an employment or service contract. Use a separate consent record that states the scope and duration of use.
Be especially careful with customers and end users: they often do not expect their voice to be cloned, so consent is almost always required and must be explicit and separate from other terms.
2.4. Celebrities and public figures
With celebrities, public figures, presenters, singers, actors or anyone with public influence, legal and reputational risk is much higher. Beyond the individual's consent, consider commercial rights, image rights and any exclusivity contracts they have signed with others.
3. What a consent record must contain
Consent is only worth anything when it is specific and provable. A consent record should make the following clear:
- The parties: the person consenting (the voice subject) and the individual or organisation permitted to use the voice.
- Scope of use: cloning, text-to-speech, use in an app, video, advertising or internal content; whether sublicensing to third parties is allowed.
- Duration, territory, release channels and any right to withdraw.
- Technical scope: the right to edit, synthesise, create voice variants, store the sample and generate new audio from it.
- Acknowledgement: the subject understands their voice may be used to create synthetic audio that can sound like a real person.
- Indemnity and breach: what happens if one party exceeds the agreed scope.
- Date and signature: a signature, electronic acceptance or an equivalent durable record.
Section 10 provides a template you can use as a starting point. It is a reference, not legal advice; for large projects or sensitive voices, have your lawyer review it.

4. Sensitive and restricted cases
Do not upload or clone the voice of the following people unless you have a clear legal basis and appropriate evidence of consent:
- Anyone under 16: parental or guardian consent is required; do not clone a child's voice for commercial purposes.
- People who lack or have limited legal capacity: a lawful representative is required.
- Celebrities, public figures and presenters: see 2.4.
- Customers, employees and contractors: a separate consent record, distinct from an employment or service contract.
- Deceased people: the law still protects rights over their voice through family or heirs; do not clone without appropriate permission.
- Synthetic or processed versions of someone's voice: transforming an existing voice does not remove the original subject's rights.
Do not use a cloned voice in contexts with a high risk of misleading people, such as news, politics, finance, health, legal matters or as evidence in proceedings.

Read the cited provisions
Article 7. Prohibited acts — AI Law 134/2025/QH15
Exploiting the weaknesses of vulnerable groups, including children, older people, persons with disabilities, ethnic minorities, persons who have lost or have limited civil act capacity, and persons with difficulties in perceiving or controlling their behaviour, in order to cause harm to them or to others.

5. Keeping evidence of consent
You must be able to produce evidence of consent when there is a complaint, dispute, abuse report or a reasonable suspicion by Saydi AI that consent is missing. Evidence can be:
- A signed contract, addendum or power of attorney.
- An email or message from the voice subject with identity details and a clear scope of consent.
- An electronic acceptance form recording a timestamp and the verifying identity.
- An audio or video recording in which the subject confirms their consent.
We recommend keeping evidence at least for as long as you keep using the cloned voice, plus the applicable limitation period for claims. Saydi AI may ask you for evidence within a reasonable period; if you cannot provide it, we may suspend or delete the cloned voice.
6. Duties when you publish AI-generated content
Generating the voice is only half of the obligation. When you publish that content publicly, you must comply with the law on transparency of artificial-intelligence content.
Specifically, you are responsible for:
- Complying with Vietnam's Law on Artificial Intelligence No. 134/2025/QH15 (in force from 1 March 2026) and its guiding instruments, together with current rules on identifying and labelling AI-generated content.
- Complying with the rules and policies of the platform you publish on — social networks, video platforms, digital content marketplaces.
- Making clear that a voice is synthetic wherever listeners could otherwise believe it is a real person, especially in news, interviews, statements, adverts with a spokesperson, and educational content.
- Never editing or splicing audio to put words in someone's mouth they never said.
Saydi AI can advise on labelling, but the compliance duty belongs to you as the publisher of the content.
Under the Law on Artificial Intelligence the notification and labelling duties above fall on the deployer — an organisation or individual using the AI system in professional, commercial or service-providing activity. SaydiVoice applies the same transparency standard to all publicly released content, including where you use the service for personal purposes.

The deployer must give clear notice when supplying to the public text, audio, images or video created or edited by an artificial-intelligence system if that content could mislead as to the authenticity of an event or a person, unless the law provides otherwise.
Article 11. Transparency duties — AI Law 134/2025/QH15
The deployer must ensure that audio, images or video created or edited by an artificial-intelligence system to simulate or replicate the appearance or voice of a real person, or to recreate real events, are labelled in an easily recognisable way to distinguish them from real content.

7. Prohibited uses of a cloned voice
The following are strictly prohibited and may lead to account suspension, data deletion and a report to the competent authority:
- Impersonating a person or organisation, or fabricating statements they never made.
- Fraud, extortion, threats, defamation, disparagement or harassment using a cloned voice.
- Creating pornographic, violent, hateful or inflammatory content in someone else's voice.
- Using a cloned voice to interfere with elections, alarm the public or spread false information.
- Creating false evidence in legal proceedings, financial transactions or administrative procedures.
- Cloning someone's voice to resell it as a standalone voice product.

8. Removal and complaints about unauthorised use
If you are the voice subject — or a lawful representative — and you believe your voice is being used without permission on SaydiVoice, you have the right to request a review and removal.
Send your request through our contact page or to contact@saydi.ai, including:
- Your identity and the capacity in which you are asking (voice subject, lawful representative, authorised organisation).
- A voice sample or other evidence that the voice is yours.
- The URL, generation reference or a description of the content you believe is unauthorised.
- The basis for saying the use is unauthorised (no consent, beyond the consented scope, or a prohibited purpose).
How we handle it:
- Acknowledge your request within 24 working hours.
- Temporarily hide the cloned voice or related content during verification where the risk level warrants it.
- Ask the account holder to provide evidence of consent.
- Remove the cloned voice and related content if no valid consent evidence exists, and tell you the outcome.
- Refer the matter to the competent authority where there are signs of unlawful conduct.
If you are the account holder and believe a removal request is unfounded, you may respond with your consent evidence and we will review it again.

Article 18. Updating, amending and deleting personal information — Network Information Security Law 86/2015/QH13
Immediately upon receiving a data subject's request to update, amend or delete personal information, or a request to stop providing personal information to third parties, the organisation or individual processing personal information must: (a) carry out the request and notify the data subject, or give the data subject access to update, amend or delete their own personal information; (b) apply appropriate measures to protect the personal information and notify the data subject where the request cannot be carried out for technical or other reasons.

9. Your responsibility and Saydi AI's rights
You bear full responsibility for uploading, cloning, publishing and commercialising a voice, including any claim from the voice subject or a third party. The indemnity obligation is set out in section 7.3 of our Terms of Service.
Where there is a reasonable suspicion of missing consent, impersonation, fraud or infringement of a third party's rights, Saydi AI may:
- Suspend or delete the cloned voice, generation jobs, output files or the entire account.
- Require you to provide consent evidence within a reasonable period.
- Refuse to process related generation requests.
- Provide information to the competent authority where the law requires it.
How we handle audio data and voice samples, and our duties as a data processor, are set out in our Privacy Policy and Data Processing Appendix.

Frequently asked questions about voice consent
Do I need consent to clone my own voice?
No. You may clone your own voice without anyone's permission, but you remain responsible for how that voice is used and for labelling obligations when you publish AI-generated content.
What form must consent take?
Consent must be clear, specific and provable: a signed contract or addendum, a confirming email, an electronic acceptance form with an identity and timestamp, or an audio/video confirmation. Verbal consent with no record is not enough.
Can I clone an employee's or a customer's voice?
Only with that person's separate written consent stating the scope and duration of use. Consent cannot be inferred from an employment or service contract, and for customers it is almost always required.
How long must I keep evidence of consent?
We recommend keeping it at least for as long as you keep using the cloned voice, plus the applicable limitation period for claims. Saydi AI may ask you for evidence when there is a complaint or a suspicion that consent is missing.
What if someone clones my voice without permission on SaydiVoice?
Send a request through the contact page with your identity, evidence that the voice is yours and the URL or generation reference. We acknowledge within 24 working hours, hide the content where risk is high, ask the account holder for consent evidence and remove it if no valid evidence exists.
Does SaydiVoice verify that a cloned voice is authorised?
We cannot verify every case in advance, so the duty to hold consent is yours. We run checks when there is a complaint or an anomaly, and we may suspend or delete a cloned voice on reasonable suspicion.
Must I disclose that audio is AI-generated?
Yes, under Vietnam's Law on Artificial Intelligence No. 134/2025/QH15 (in force from 1 March 2026) and current rules on labelling AI-generated content, plus the policy of the platform you publish on. In news, interviews, statements and adverts with a spokesperson you should make clear the voice is synthetic.
